MEETINGS

Our Chapter Meetings are the second Thursday of every month.  We meet at Goode Company Texas Bar-B-Q located at 20102 Northwest Freeway (On the corner of Hwy 290 and Wortham Center Drive).  The meetings start at 7:30 PM, but we start showing up around 7:00 PM.

Rides depart from either Buc-ee's (290 @ Mueschke Road) or the Shell Station (290 @ 1960).  Please check our Events Calendar for ride details as well as other chapter events.

Our next ride will be what is called a "One Turn Ride".  Different leads, turn where you want, where will we end up?  Nobody knows!

Honda Goldwing and Valkyrie history

The Honda Goldwing GL1000 was introduced at the Cologne motorcycle show in 1974 and made available to the public in 1975.  The GL1100 followed 4 years later in 1979.  In 1984 the GL1200 arrived on the scene.  The GL1500, the longest running model, could be first purchased in 1988.  The GL1800 became available in 2001.  Rumors abound each year of the new GL2000...We will have to wait and see what Honda has in store for us next.

The original Honda Valkyrie was manufactured between 1997 and 2003.  The Valkyrie Standard and Tourer  were introduced in the beginning, with the Interstate following in 1999.  The Tourer was dropped in 2000 and the interstate followed in 2001, leaving only the Standard until 2003.  The Valkyrie Rune took over with a limited edition appearing in 2004.
